Periventricular nodular heterotopia (PVNH) - also known as subependymal grey matter heterotopia - is a rare epilepsy; caused by a brain malformation of cortical development.
There tends to be some abnormal grouping of nerve cells inside the brain’s ventricles and this abnormality commonly causes seizures and epilepsy.
