FND Awareness Day
Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) often accompanies (but is also often mistaken for) an epilepsy! It can affect anyone of any age, and leads to neurological symptoms that can for many be severe and disabling, and life changing for all.
World Oral Health Day
People with an epilepsy more commonly experience oral health challenges. So, let's celebrate World Oral Health Day where prioritising oral health leads to better health overall!
CACNA1A Awareness Day
People with the rare genetic disease CACNA1A often have an epilepsy as part of it. National Nutrition Month

GRI Disorder Awareness Month
GRI Disorders are genetic diseases related to ionotropic glutamate receptors. Many GRIN patients are non-verbal, unable to walk, have an epilepsy, and many cannot feed or go to the toilet by themselves. They often suffer severe and frequent seizures that are not responsive to medical therapies.
Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
Did you know that for many people, their epilepsy is a disability? It can affect much of a person’s life. Every March, the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) and its partners collaborate to lead Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM).
