Around 1/3 of people with a brain tumour develop an epilepsy. Some tumours are cancerous and some are not.
Brain and other central nervous system tumours are by far the greatest cancer-related cause of death in children in the UK. Brain Tumour Awareness Month was launched in 2004 by a group of charities that went on to become founding members of the UK’s Brain Tumour Research charity.
