World Down Syndrome Day

Epilepsy is very common in people with Down Syndrome!
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. For World Down Syndrome Day 2024, the call is people around the world to End The Stereotypes. For people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities, stereotypes can stop them from being treated like other people. They get treated like children, are underestimated, and are excluded. Sometimes they are treated very badly or even abused. Let’s stop this!
